These are a Few of my Favorite Things

Favorite Type of Writing - Reflection, Opinion, or Argumentative Pieces

Favorite Writing Utensil - A beautiful rainbow of 0.7 mechanical pencils. I also love ballpoint pens, but only for to-do lists. Writing in pen generally seems far too permanent. 

Favorite Music to Listen to When Writing - I like to listen to Disney Resort Loops (continuous Disney attraction music for hours & hours), like the Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction Loop. Some of my other favorites are Ramin Djawadi’s “Light of the Seven” or “The Night King” from Game of Thrones. Otherwise, any type of undistracting classical music will do. 

Favorite Time to Go to Sleep - Ideally, I would go to sleep at 11 or 12 every night. In reality, I go to sleep at 1 or 2 or 3...

Favorite Place - My home in Fort Collins or Disneyland. In my mind, both are the Happiest Place on Earth. 

Favorite TV Shows - Game of Thrones, The Great British Baking Show, The Office, Bodyguard, Parks & Recreation, Downton Abbey 

Favorite Movies - Titanic, Star Wars, The Wizard of Oz, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, documentaries, any & all Disney animated movies

Favorite Book - Impossible to pick just one. But one of my most recent favorites was Holy Sh*t by Melissa Mohr. I read it for my Advanced Seminar, Bad Words, and it changed my life. I have also had two pretty serious Frankenstein and The Great Gatsby phases, a fleeting obsession with Wuthering Heights, a love affair with Stephen Graham Jones and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, and an ongoing relationship with Walt Disney biographies. 

Favorite Disney Ride - Tower of Terror, Pirates of the Caribbean, Storybook Land Canal Boats 

Favorite Shoes - Allbirds, Birkenstocks and Chacos, Blundstones 

Favorite Way to Waste Time - Twitter, enjoying the company of my cat and two dogs, writing to-do lists, overthinking, taking a bath, Photoshop
