WRIT 1133
Rhetoric and Academic Writing
This final "Interpretive Constellation" project was researched and written in the Spring of 2016. For this culminating research project, we were asked to consider (investigate, explore) an issue of our choice. I chose to write about heart symbolism and anatomy, in order to grapple with the aftermath of my dad's Winter 2016 heart attack. I used a "notes" format, inspired by Susan Sontag's "Notes on Camp."

People, Places, & Landscapes
This "Position Paper" was written in the Spring of 2017. The prompt asked us to write a 4-6 page paper that discussed issues around a point of controversy and argued a particular viewpoint. After learning about the "Green Revolution," I chose to argue that leguminous crops should be used to replenish depleted soil, decrease chemicals, and provide a much-needed source of protein for growing populations.
RLGS 2114
Yoga in History & Practice
This Research Paper, written for "Yoga in History and Practice" in the Winter of 2018, explores the representation of the "sinister yogi" figure across ancient, medieval, and modern texts. It includes evidence from class materials and academic research. This is an extended draft of a shorter paper with the same topic.
"We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far."
